The Adoption Process
Please read through the steps below for applying to adopt one of our hamsters. We must see either the setup you will use for your new hamster, or a current setup for a hamster you already own. It is very important that the enclosure meets the minimum requirements set forth on our Care Standards page. Below that you will find a link to our application, our email address, and ways to pay. Adoption fee is $80. We require a $40 non-refundable deposit to be put on the waitlist, and $40 at the time of pickup. There is no cost to apply. Repeat adopters will pay a reduced rate of $50 total, with deposit required.

You will be sent home with a bag of seed mix, a bag of lab blocks, and a sampling of mixed nuts & chew, such as walnuts and pecans.

We do not ship hamsters, but may be able to meet you for an additional fee.

Enclosure Photos
Photos of your enclosure, which will need to meet all of our minimum requirements, should be emailed with your application.
03
Approval
Once your application is approved, you will be notified and will need to submit your non-refundable deposit of $40 to be put on our waitlist for upcoming litters.
04
Waitlist
Once you are on the waitlist, you will be notified when your name comes up to choose a hamster from our current litter. If there isn't a hamster you'd like to adopt from that litter, you can wait until the next litter is born.
05
Pick Up Your New Pup
Once you've chosen your hamster, we will set up a time for you to pick the hamster up once he or she reaches 6 weeks old. All hamster pups must be picked up before reaching 8 weeks old. Please arrive with one of the approved carriers below.
06
Ongoing Support
We'd love to see photos of your hamster in their new home, and we will always be available for questions and advice. Please remember that if you need to rehome your hamster at any time, we ask that you notify us first.
Approved Carriers:
Any of these style carriers will work, and there are many others online. I've personally used the Living World and Full Cheeks ones. I'm partial to the Full Cheeks one because it's larger, deeper, and easier to open. Just be sure your carrier has a good locking lid and enough space for a hide and a few inches of bedding so your hamster feels safe during transport. You will also use this any time you need to take them to the vet.

**We will provide a piece of cucumber or similar vegetable to provide hydration during transport **
