Wheels for a Syrian hamster must be a minimum of 11" in diameter to prevent any bending of the spine. Some hamsters will pee on their wheel, so the wooden version may not be the best for them. If your hamster does pee on their wheel, simply wipe it down with an unscented baby wipe.
These are just a few ideas. Amazon has many more; just be sure they are at least 11" in diameter.

Bedding in your hamster's enclosure must be a minimum of 8" in depth so that they can create proper burrows. This is so important for them, as this is a very natural behavior for them in the wild.
Bedding can be paper-based or wood shavings or a combination of those. What's important is that the paper bedding is not scented! Colored paper bedding is ok. Wood shavings must be aspen, hemp, or spruce. Do not use pine shavings and do not use anything marketed as "fluff". Pine causes respiratory issues in hamsters, and fluff can cause intestinal blockages if chewed and can become entangled around your hamster's limb.
Bedding
Etsy is a great source for homemade items/food for your hamster. Just be sure that all food/sprays are pesticide free and/or organic. Also be sure that all entrances to tunnels and hides are at least 2.7" in diameter. This is the minimum size for a Syrian hamster to turn around without getting stuck.
